Council Queries
Council of the Six-Fingered Hand — Open Queries
These are questions our campaign records cannot answer on their own. Each one represents a gap or contradiction in the Archives that requires a ruling from the Council (i.e., you lot) before the Chroniclers can update the official records.
Please respond with a ruling against each query. A simple answer is all that's needed — the Archivists will handle the documentation.
CHARACTERS
Query C-01 — What happened to Bob?
Status: ✅ Resolved — Bob is Bain.
Archival records and Council ruling confirm that "Bob" is simply short for Bain's full name: Bain Osiris Oswald Boltblast. There was no departure or death; the party roster simply records him as Bain. The separate "Bob" entry has been merged into Bain's record in the Codex.
Query C-02 — Thelanor: When exactly did he die?
Status: ✅ Resolved — Thelanor did not die.
The Council has confirmed that Thelanor did not perish in the ice cave. He suffered grievous wounds during the encounter but survived. Following the subsequent events at the Phandalin fort siege, he grew tired of the adventuring life and took a sabbatical. The records have been corrected to reflect his survival and departure.
Query C-05 — Was the Elvenport commission arranged by Mr. West?
Status: ✅ Resolved — No. The commission was not arranged by Mr. West.
Archival records confirm the Elvenport (Teu'tel'alu) commission was posted on a public notice board in Baldur's Gate. Mr. West had no prior involvement. He appeared after the Elvenport session and threatened the party for losses he attributed to their activities — this was his introduction to the party, not a premeditated sending. The Chronicles' ambiguity note is now cleared.
